I don't know your skill level with computers, but if you're not very knowledgeable about them, then it may SEEM like there's 3 ways to 'enable wifi'. There's different 'levels of networking' - to keep it simple, let's say a hardware level and a software level. This isn't 100% accurate, but for illustration: When you enable or disable the driver, you're working on the software level - you're working with the piece of software that acts as a translator between the operating system and the hardware itself. When you enable/disable the adapter, you're working on the hardware level and actually turning the wifi card on and off.I don't really know what you're looking at, and can't off the top of my head guess what the third thing you might be looking at is, but maybe that will shed some light on your question.
