Dear Banhein,Thanks for the advise. Unfortunatly it as not worked.Firstly, in the device manager thier is no audio driver to uninstall. See screen shot 1.device managerSecondly, regardless of the above i tried to install the driver. It didnt work. The install got to about 80% and then a falure error happened. See screen shot 2install failureWhat does all this mean? I have been using this computer with no issues for the past 6 months.

Before this machine i was a mac user for about 8 years, so i dont have a lot of recent expereince with windows issues.but surely it was the windows update that screwed everything.Any ideas? This windows 10 update really screwed things up. Microsoft at times has shown a tendency to release new versions of whatever, without sufficient user acceptance testing, Like, for example, they will release a new version of Sharepoint or Dynamics AX that is not compatible with the latest versions of their own browsers.

So you can imagine how less-than-coordinated they are with other software and hardware vendors, when they can't even coordinate internally with their own teams.
